How Gutters Protect Your Roof and Home

Gutters may look like a simple accessory attached to the edge of a roof, but they are an important part of the home's water-management system. Their job is to collect rainwater running off the roof, carry it to downspouts, and direct it away from vulnerable parts of the property.
When that system is clear, securely attached, and draining properly, it helps control where roof runoff goes. When it is clogged, sagging, leaking, or disconnected, water can spill over the edge and repeatedly wet the fascia, siding, landscaping, and soil around the foundation.
